The New Miami Subs Grill operating model was formed in 1988. From our inception, we’ve been well received by guests and have demonstrated the ability to grow through franchising. Over the years, we’ve established ourselves with the dining public as a favorite quick service destination consistently delivering higher quality, made to order, fresh food at fast food prices.
Today, the New Miami Subs Grill concept is positioned in a niche between fast food outlets and casual theme restaurants, offering our guests the best of both worlds.
By offering the convenience of drive-thru and delivery, while also providing an inviting, comfortable environment for dine-in customers, we’ve adapted a fast food service structure. But unlike “fast food” outlets, we cook our food to order; offering guests high quality and absolute freshness.
The New Miami Subs Grill menu also offers a wide variety of moderately priced, delicious menu choices, including our signature Philly cheesesteaks, wings, salads, chicken and burgers, hot and cold subs, gyros, and pitas. The menu variety attracts an unusually broad guest base with a diverse demographic profile.
To continuously attract this wide customer base, The New Miami Subs Grill works with franchisees to develop local store marketing programs. These programs are designed to increase store traffic, create “top of mind” awareness, and build the brand.

Bernard Vogel: President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Vogel has served as a Member of the Board of Directors for MSCPI and MSUSA since May 2007. From October 2007 to June 2010, he was a Member of the Board of Directors for us, and in June 2010 he became President and Chairman of the Board of Directors for us. He is also currently, and has been since January 1977, self employed as an attorney in New York state.
Richard Chwatt: Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Chwatt has served as our Vice President and as a Member of our Board of Directors for us since June 2010. Since 1979, Mr. Chwatt has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Jericho State Capital Corp. headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. Since May 2007, he has been President and Chief Executive Officer for RC Food Services, LLC headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.
Frank Baran: Vice President of Operations. Mr. Baran has served as our Vice President of Operations since June 2010 and from January 2009 to June 2010 he was our Chief Compliance Officer. He previously served with us in several capacities between 1991 and June 2003, including as Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Non-Traditional Operations, and Director of Franchise Operations.
Ambrose Whyms: Director of Training. Mr. Whyms has served as our Director of Training since our inception in October 2007. Before that, from March 1993 to October 2007, he served us and MSUSA in several capacities, including Store Manager, Area Representative and Director.
